cherry blossom was formed by soleil. the 4 members consist of mei (bassist), yara (lead singer), i-seul (guitarist) and soleil (drummer).bio soleil kim is a self taught musician. she first started playing the drums at six years old, though she wasn’t very good at first. as the years passed, she continued practicing and learned how to play by ear. as a teenager, she taught herself the piano, guitar, and bass. though the drums remained her favorite.in her early twenties, soleil began posting covers on youtube without caring whether they got views or not. one of those covers was later uploaded to tiktok by a random fan, where it unexpectedly blew up. after that, she made her own tiktok account and began posting often, gaining attention.she decided to form a band, posting online ads to find members. she soon found three other girls, and together they formed cherry blossom. the group spent time doing covers to experiment and discover the sound that best fit them.soleil sings sometimes, but it isn’t her main focus. as the band’s leader, she prefers to let the other members shine. she still uploads covers, participates in dance challenges, and keeps up with trends to stay connected with her fans.
